An unknown person hurled balloons with pink paint at the Russian consulate building in Manhattan, police said.
The incident happened just after 2 p.m. Tuesday, according to cops.
It comes as tens of thousands are protesting the jailing of opposition leader and Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny.
