The New Mutants

After a two year delay, a major Disney buyout and a cinema-decimating pandemic,The New Mutants is finally available to watch on demand. The final installment of the Fox X-Men film franchise, The New Mutants introduces the world to the new generation of traumatized teens with incredible superpowers, but with a horror-genre twist. We meet the new mutants in question — Wolfsbane (Game of Thrones‘ Maisie Williams), Sunspot (13 Reasons Why’s Henry Zaga), Cannonball (Stranger Things‘ Charlie Heaton), Magik (Emma‘s Anya Taylor-Joy), and Mirage (Another Life’s Blu Hunt)— in a secret institution where they are undergoing treatments to cure them of their dangerous powers. But as Dr. Cecilia Reyes, the only person on staff, invites each patient to share their stories, the teens begin to question why they’re being held in such a place…and by whom. If you like sci-fi or The X-Men, you must watch The New Mutants. And if you don’t, watch it anyway— the stars in this film make it entertaining to all!

The Personal History of David Copperfield

Dev Patel stars in The Personal History of David Copperfield, a British film that breathes new life into what could have been a tired adaptation. Based on the Charles Dickens classic, this dramedy follows the rollercoaster life of beloved character David Copperfield from his beginnings as a cherished child to an adolescence as abused factory worker and ultimately to the gentleman and author he turns out to be. But his life is not a classic rags-to-riches story by any means; and with a director like Armando Iannucci taking the helm and a supporting cast  featuring Tilda Swinton, Hugh Laurie, Peter Capaldi, Gwendoline Christie and more, The Personal History of David Copperfield is bound to be a wildly funny riff filled with spirit and vigor.
