That was meteorologist Lee Goldberg’s response when lightning struck the World Trade Center as he started his evening weather update on ABC 7 New York Friday.
“This is the second time this happened to me on air where lightning strikes right when I come on,” said the veteran weatherman, who’s been broadcasting since 1993.
The 29-second video posted on ABC 7’s Twitter and other accounts shows Goldberg pointing to the clearing skies over New Jersey as the lightning pops.
“It looks like it struck the spire of One World Trade, which is exactly what it’s supposed to do,” he observed. “So that is amazing!”
He then turned back to his forecast without missing a beat.
