How to Watch Trump’s Town Hall Live Tonight

0

Tonight kicks off a new addition to the 2020 presidential race with two dueling town halls from both candidates. This evening, President Donald Trump is hosting his own town hall after the previously scheduled Oct. 15 debate was canceled. After Trump’s coronavirus diagnosis was revealed, the debate was switched to a virtual one, but the president refused to participate and the Commission on Presidential Debates axed the whole thing.

Now, instead of facing off with Democratic nominee Joe Biden through a screen, Trump will have the whole night to himself with his very own event.

Meanwhile, Biden scheduled his own town hall when the debate was canceled, before the Trump campaign announced that the president would be holding one, too. The debates are taking place on the same night, so it’s not exactly easy to catch them both. But if you want to hear what Trump has to say this evening, here’s everything you need to know to watch his town hall.

WHEN IS TRUMP’S TOWN HALL?

Trump’s town hall kicks off tonight at 8/7c, the same time as Biden’s town hall. The president will be speaking for a full hour, wrapping up at 9/8c.

WHO IS MODERATING THE TRUMP TOWN HALL?

The president’s town hall will be moderated by Today Show co-host Savannah Guthrie.

WHERE IS THE TRUMP TOWN HALL TAKING PLACE?

Trump’s town hall will take place at the Perez Art Museum in Miami. According to a press release sent out yesterday by NBC, the event will take place outside, “in accordance with guidelines set forth by health officials and consistent with all government regulations.” NBC also made clear that the town hall will go ahead despite Trump’s recent coronavirus diagnosis.

“NBC News has been given a statement by Dr. Clifford Lane, Clinical Director at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), indicating that he and Dr. Anthony Fauci have reviewed the president’s recent medical data, including a PCR test collected and analyzed by NIH on Oct. 13, and have concluded ‘with a high degree of confidence’ that the president is ‘not shedding infectious virus,’” they added.
