How to Watch Trump and Biden’s Dueling Town Halls Live Tonight

0

In what continues to be an especially unusual election year, the two presidential candidates are facing off tonight using an unconventional tactic, individual town halls. How did we get here? It all goes back to early October, after President Trump tested positive for the coronavirus. The Commission on Presidential Debates then changed the previously scheduled Oct. 15 presidential debate to a virtual one, keeping the candidates in two different locations.

Trump, however, refused to participate in the virtual presidential debate and it was subsequently canceled…but now the two candidates are hosting their own separate events.

Democratic nominee Joe Biden had already scheduled a town hall after Trump opted out of the debate, but the president soon organized his own event, which just so happens to fall on the same evening. Unfortunately, both of the town halls are also set to begin at the same time, making it difficult to catch both candidates. If you’re planning on switching the channel back-and-forth, or only sticking with one of the nominees, here’s how to catch both of tonight’s town halls:

WHAT TIME ARE DONALD TRUMP AND JOE BIDEN’S TOWN HALLS?

Both of tonight’s town halls kick off tonight, Oct. 15, at 8/7c. Biden’s town hall, which takes place at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, will last for 90 minutes, with a 30-minute after-show commentary slated for 9:30/8:30c. Trump’s town hall, set to take place outdoors at the Perez Art Museum in Miami, will end after an hour.

HOW TO WATCH DONALD TRUMP’S TOWN HALL TONIGHT:

Trump’s town hall, titled Decision 2020, will air live on NBC and will be moderated by Savannah Guthrie. The network made the announcement only yesterday, but it’s already sparked a strong wave of backlash, with over 100 celebrities signing a letter in protest of NBC Trump town hall.

You can also catch the Trump town hall on MSNBC, CNBC, NBC News Now and Telemundo’s digital platforms. If you don’t have cable, you can stream the town hall on the the NBC News NOW network. You can watch the NBC town hall on-demand after the NBC broadcast on Peacock.

HOW TO WATCH JOE BIDEN’S TOWN HALL TONIGHT:

The Biden town hall will air on ABC and will be moderated by the network’s chief news anchor, George Stephanopoulos. If you want to stream it, you’ve got options. You can use ABC News Live website, or watch the town hall tonight on ABC News through Hulu, Roku, YouTube TV, Sling TV, or the ABC app.

WHEN IS THE NEXT PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE?

Election Day is creeping up, but there’s still one more debate scheduled after tonight’s town halls. The two candidates are set to face off once more for the final debate, which will take place on Thursday, Oct. 22 at Nashville’s Belmont University.
