Britney Spears’ social media manager is speaking out on the conspiracy theories surrounding the pop star’s Instagram.

Fittingly, Cassie Petrey posted her explanation on Instagram, hoping to clear the air on Spears’ online presence.

“Britney creates her own posts and writes her own captions for Instagram. She finds the google images, pinterest images, quotes, memes and everything else herself,” Petrey wrote. “Nobody is suggesting any of that stuff to her. She generally edits the videos herself.”

Petrey noted that the only time one of the “Toxic” singer’s videos is edited by a member of her team is when she gives “specific instructions and asked for it to be edited that way.”

“Then she sees it and decides if she wants to post or not,” Petrey explained.

Petrey reminded fans that the 39-year-old pop star has said countless times that she creates her own posts but people would still prefer to believe “conspiracy theories” over the “Lucky” singer, who has even enlisted boyfriend Sam Asghari to explain her posts.

“Britney is not ‘asking for help’ or leaving secret messages in her social media,” Petrey said. “She is literally just living her life and trying to have fun on instagram.”

Spears, who has mocked her own social media in the past, has a team to help strategize her content, Petrey explained, “like any major celebrity does at this point in her career.”

Petrey informed her followers that she was not hired via Lou Taylor, Spears’ former business manager and one of the villains of her conservatorship battle in the eyes of her fans.

“This is another example of assumptions being made rather than understanding the true facts,” she wrote.

Petrey, who revealed she has never been to Hawaii with Spears and denied taking any of her vacation photos.

“Britney has never paid for me to go on any vacation with her,” she wrote. “My work on Britney’s social media does not involve her conservatorship in any way. That’s a court and lawyer thing.”

Petrey also slammed the wild viral TikTok video about the process of “getting hired” to be Spears’ social media manager, writing, “Not sure who made it up, but nobody has ever been asked any interview questions like that.”

“Don’t bully her,” Petrey said of Spears. “She doesn’t deserve it. She’s having fun creating posts and sharing images that she likes. That’s it. There’s not some secret agenda to it. She’s just having a good time, and I hope this helps people see it for what it actually is.”
